Print of Iguazu Falls in Argentina.
Photogravure is an old technique where a photographic plate is made, a craft that has been revitalised with the advance of digital technology. Photogravures, or photopolymers as they are also known, are created by exposing light-sensitive polymer-coated metal sheets, plates, and printed transparencies in UV light. The ultraviolet light damages the polymer and an etching like plate is created ready to inked and put through a printing press. Edition of 20 – paper size 24.7X35.7cm This is a handmade print from a photopolymer plate printed with Charbonnel Carbon Black ink. Each print is individual, handprinted on Sommerset paper.
