“After growing up in a Victorian terrace in Salford surrounded by rows of other terraced houses, my move to London saw my first experience of the 1960’s tower block. Four years on, I live in the same estate surrounded by four similar blocks, enveloped by yet more estates and have grown to love these structures of concrete and brick.“
This project explores the blocks in and around East London, documenting the similarity and the symmetry in their designs. Using a Noblex swing lens camera, capturing the uniformity of each building, whilst simultaneously tying them together and exploring their height.
